The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Georg Henriksson hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Wilhelm Rang kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. When Valter Mellin came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Cheetah Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valter Mellin couldn't finish the play. After taking down the ball on Haga IF's corner Ernest Froněk fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Claes Caspersson quite easily take care of the ball. In the 15th minute Jens-Erik Vennerström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Caspersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claes Caspersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Erik Vennerström, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valter Mellin in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tor-Ivar Storm saved Haga IF from getting behind. After 18 played minutes Cheetah Team got a freekick which was hit by Tim Askberg. When Ernest Froněk came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Haga IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernest Froněk couldn't finish the play. Ernest Froněk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Claes Caspersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claes Caspersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Erik Vennerström in the 25th minute of the match. Cheetah Team's Egon Ahlbom managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Georg Henriksson in the 28 minute of the game. When Georg Henriksson fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Haga IF's protests and gave Georg Henriksson a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Haga IF's Georg Henriksson got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute Dick Forssell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor-Ivar Storm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Claes Caspersson came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Haga IF's Wilhelm Rang. But to his dismay, Wilhelm Rang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valter Mellin got free with Tor-Ivar Storm in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 56 minutes, Wilhelm Rang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haga IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilhelm Rang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute Wilhelm Rang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Caspersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 minutes, Tim Askberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cheetah Team and the Haga IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 66 played minutes Cheetah Team got a freekick which was hit by Tim Askberg. After 67 played minutes Cheetah Team got a freekick which was hit by Fredrik Fors. 71 minutes into the match, Haga IF's goalkeeper Tor-Ivar Storm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dick Forssell. Claes Caspersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilhelm Rang, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Haga IF's zone, Valter Mellin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tor-Ivar Storm came out of the goal and Valter Mellin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cheetah Team's attentive Tim Askberg managed to snatch the ball when Ernest Froněk made a throw-in in the 77th minute of the game. Valter Mellin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tor-Ivar Storm came out and tried to block the shot, but Valter Mellin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 79th minute. Valter Mellin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 82nd playminute. Cheetah Team's Tim Askberg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ernest Froněk, made in the 87th minute of the game. Gustaf Kilberg kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. If Egon Ahlbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wilhelm Rang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ernest Froněk made in the 95th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jens-Erik Vennerström.
