Spectators: 7575 (Terracing: 5759, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ludwig Vollander started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Karl-Magnus Håning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell-Arne Grönberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute Ludwig Vollander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tord Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Huaröd's Tord Forsberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Huaröd from getting a goal against them. Taormina FC were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Huaröd's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gilbert Anundsson took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Evren Özdil heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The supporters of Taormina FC booed when Huaröd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Ola Lekberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ludwig Vennerström got free with Tord Forsberg in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 19 played minutes Taormina FC got a freekick which was hit by Ludwig Vennerström. In the 28th minute, Ludwig Vollander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Ludwig Vollander dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tord Forsberg, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Ludwig Vollander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tord Forsberg was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Taormina FC's Kjell-Arne Grönberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joar Valrot in the 45th minute of play. Kjell-Arne Grönberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Strömbom in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stefan Strömbom made a kick off. Kjell-Arne Grönberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joar Valrot in the 52nd minute of play. Ludwig Vollander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Huaröd's Tord Forsberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludwig Vollander in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Sten Hurtig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ludwig Vollander in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tord Forsberg saved Huaröd from getting behind. Joar Valrot received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kjell-Arne Grönberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Joar Valrot slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 63rd minute. A collision led to Taormina FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Ludwig Vennerström hit a great ball. In the 76th minute, Joar Valrot made a precise shot to the right of Kjell-Arne Grönberg. Taormina FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Huaröd's Henning Lindmark was substituted for Sten Hurtig. Kjell-Arne Grönberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Strömbom in the 81st minute of the match. Taormina FC's Kjell-Arne Grönberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Taormina FC from getting a goal against them. Ulf Viberg's late challenge caught a Huaröd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulf Viberg helped the player get up and apologised. Ulf Viberg hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Taormina FC's Kjell-Arne Grönberg got control of the ball when Sture Brogren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tord Forsberg came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Taormina FC's Ludwig Vollander. But to his dismay, Ludwig Vollander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Tord Forsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludwig Vennerström, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Huaröd! When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Huaröd had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
