The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evert Sundberg made a kick off. Mikael Hydén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfred Vennerkvist in the 53rd minute of play. Mikael Hydén was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joel Fastesson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 54 minute of play. Mikael Hydén was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Åhagen FC's Joel Fastesson got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, Roger Gustavsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mikael Hydén. Västerhaninge IFK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roger Gustavsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-11. Mikael Hydén was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match was over Åhagen FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Västerhaninge IFK throughout the match.
