The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of BenBryTerna booed when BK Ugglan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henk Van Linthout didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 3rd minute of the match Karl-Erik Levander shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustav Norberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ingvar Hake sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jesper Hegg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henk Van Linthout's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, BenBryTerna's goal looked a bit too open when Henk Van Linthout came free, but Jesper Hegg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. BenBryTerna's Jesper Hegg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Sundberg in the 18th minute of play. Jesper Hegg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henk Van Linthout, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvin Holm during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to BenBryTerna getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Alvin Holm hit a great ball. Jesper Hegg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Kråk in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Ingvar Hake got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aron Engström hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, Thomas Sundberg made a precise shot to the right of Jesper Hegg. BenBryTerna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The BenBryTerna players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. BK Ugglan were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pelle Falck to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Olov Skoglund suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Karl-Erik Levander fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BenBryTerna's protests and gave Karl-Erik Levander a yellow card for diving instead. After 52 played minutes BenBryTerna got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Erik Levander. Henk Van Linthout's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Jesper Hegg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. BenBryTerna's Jesper Hegg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save BenBryTerna from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the BenBryTerna defense, Henk Van Linthout kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jesper Hegg. The BenBryTerna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jesper Hegg should have stopped the shot. Gustav Norberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Hake in the 70th minute of play. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Thomas Sundberg sped through BenBryTerna's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jesper Hegg. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Sundberg in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jesper Hegg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Thomas Sundberg took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Jesper Hegg to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jim Kråk got free with Jesper Hegg in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wiktor Anselius came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jesper Hegg could save by the left post. Jesper Hegg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wiktor Anselius in the 97th minute.
