Spectators: 7565 (Terracing: 5751, Seating: 1764, VIP seats: 50) Ronny Magnusson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After having played for 7 minutes, Fructuoso Valerón managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lenhovda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fructuoso Valerón was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven-Ove Finnman in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ib Schnipper saved Lenhovda from getting behind. Ib Schnipper stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sven-Ove Finnman's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Ib Schnipper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Ove Finnman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute Norrskogen were awarded a corner. Sven-Ove Finnman went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Sven-Ove Finnman got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ib Schnipper quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 18th minute Bruno Guadagnoli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor Tingelholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Ove Finnman in the 20th minute of play forced Lenhovda's goalkeeper Ib Schnipper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Sven-Ove Finnman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ib Schnipper. Lenhovda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sven-Ove Finnman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 25 minutes into the match, Norrskogen's Sven-Ove Finnman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ib Schnipper narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robinho Linares during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lenhovda's Ib Schnipper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig Lindholm in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Sven-Ove Finnman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Ib Schnipper was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Norrskogen's Stig Lindholm got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joakim Smed hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After 45 played minutes Norrskogen got a freekick which was hit by Robinho Linares. After the first half Norrskogen were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sven-Ove Finnman to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Guadagnoli in the 55th minute of play forced Norrskogen's goalkeeper Tor Tingelholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ib Schnipper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Georg Nordgren in the 60th minute. Ib Schnipper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig Lindholm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joakim Smed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 65th minute Fructuoso Valerón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor Tingelholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 minutes of play, Norrskogen's Stig Lindholm made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ib Schnipper was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joakim Smed struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Ib Schnipper didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Norrskogen. Ib Schnipper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joakim Smed, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 79 in the game by Sven-Ove Finnman from a close distance when the talented Ib Schnipper managed to make a qualified save. Lenhovda's players were relieved. Sven-Ove Finnman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Ib Schnipper when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 85 minutes into the game, Georg Nordgren recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ib Schnipper. Georg Nordgren showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. After a rather tough play, Lenhovda's Ronny Magnusson got a free kick in the 95th minute. Christopher Palmquist hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute, Sven-Ove Finnman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
