The supporters of Shawshank Prisoners FC booed when Festis BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvar Holmgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Festis BK's Edwin Björk got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Ali Kurd took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustav Fernström. Gustav Fernström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Shawshank Prisoners FC's zone, Ali Kurd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustav Fernström came out of the goal and Ali Kurd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Shawshank Prisoners FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Festis BK were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexander Hultstrand stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jens-Ove Gallberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thor Heggert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustav Fernström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexander Hultstrand in the 53rd minute. Festis BK were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Shawshank Prisoners FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sture Dahlberg took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Håkan Mild heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Thor Heggert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jens-Ove Gallberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Shawshank Prisoners FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sture Dahlberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Festis BK's players had a chance to rest. In the 75th minute Rudolf Rosen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ove Gallberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Shawshank Prisoners FC's Robert Abelsson got a free kick in the 75th minute. Sture Dahlberg was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 77th match minute, Festis BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Hultstrand to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the match, Festis BK's goal looked a bit too open when Thor Heggert came free, but Jens-Ove Gallberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Rudolf Rosen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shawshank Prisoners FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rudolf Rosen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jens-Ove Gallberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexander Hultstrand hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the match, Shawshank Prisoners FC's goalkeeper Gustav Fernström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexander Hultstrand. The Festis BK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Festis BK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
