After a rather tough play, Nils Liedholm IF's Edvin Bergkvist got a free kick in the 6th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Jörgen Bjurström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Claudio Di Palma was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tage Magnusson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Ruda if's goal looked a bit too open when Jörgen Bjurström came free, but Claudio Di Palma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudio Di Palma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birger Kleen, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. When Jörgen Bjurström fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nils Liedholm IF's protests and gave Jörgen Bjurström a yellow card for diving instead. Ove Hake was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Thijs Thys showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 24 minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Ruda if's Thijs Thys sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ove Hake narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Nils Liedholm IF's goalkeeper Ove Hake had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thijs Thys. Ove Hake had great luck who in the 30thth minute grab hold of the ball when Thijs Thys from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Ove Hake showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thijs Thys in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Staffan Arvidsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ove Hake. The goal made the score 3-1. The supporters of Ruda if booed when Nils Liedholm IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zebastian Österlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nils Liedholm IF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Tage Magnusson scored to the left of an out of position Ove Hake, making the score, 4-1. Thijs Thys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ove Hake having to interfere. Ove Hellqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Ove Hake made a huge save. In the 45th minute, Ove Hellqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ove Hake was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ove Hellqvist to make the kick off. The supporters of Ruda if booed when Nils Liedholm IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Wennerquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thijs Thys recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Nils Liedholm IF's Claudio Di Palma threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zebastian Österlund, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tage Magnusson might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ove Hake. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tage Magnusson ran back to his position shaking his head. 56 minutes into the match, Nils Liedholm IF's goal looked a bit too open when Ove Hellqvist came free, but Ove Hake reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 57th minute of the match Edvin Bergkvist completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Edvin Bergkvist a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Nils Liedholm IF's Edvin Bergkvist got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 76th minute Elia Santoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ove Hake saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Thijs Thys left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ruda if fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. Ove Hellqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Thijs Thys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Karl-Oskar Fridlund got his second yellow card in the match during the 93rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 94th minute, Karl-Oskar Fridlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Ruda if were the better team. Ruda if's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
