Claes Kullgren hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, Harald Specht got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Per-Olof Lind hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 43rd match minute, Nykvarn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harald Specht to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 45 minutes, Harald Specht managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nykvarn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harald Specht was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Nykvarn's goal looked a bit too open when José Carlos White came free, but Michel Kinell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Carlos White to strike the kick off in the second half. If Stig-Åke Gunnarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 52 minutes of play The Rats's Per-Olof Lind was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Per-Olof Lind kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, The Rats's goal looked a bit too open when Harald Specht came free, but Tord Samuelsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 61 played minutes Nykvarn got a freekick which was hit by Rudolf Wiklund. In the 71st minute Viggo Samuelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tord Samuelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viggo Samuelsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tord Samuelsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. During the 83rd minute of the match Max Persson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Max Persson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Nils-Åke Hamberg's late challenge caught a Nykvarn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nils-Åke Hamberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 85 played minutes The Rats got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Åke Hamberg. After having played for 87 minutes, Tomasz Czajka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nykvarn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomasz Czajka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomasz Czajka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tord Samuelsson having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomasz Czajka in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tord Samuelsson saved The Rats from getting behind.
