Ingemar Willig made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Oscar Rosin made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Örjan Levander sent off a good shot on target. Helsingborgs IF's Oscar Rosin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Helsingborgs IF from getting a goal against them. Ingemar Willig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Vilaverde in the 20th minute of the match. Helsingborgs IF's Oscar Rosin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Helsingborgs IF from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yngve Röd in the 30th minute of play forced Stennäs FF's goalkeeper Ingemar Willig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Helsingborgs IF's Oscar Rosin got control of the ball when Örjan Levander tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ingemar Willig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Vilaverde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Stennäs FF defense, Afonso Vilaverde kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ingemar Willig. The Stennäs FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ingemar Willig should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Stennäs FF's Örjan Levander slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oscar Rosin. That made the score 1-2 after 44 minutes of play. Henning Lingren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Oscar Rosin made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vágner da Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vágner da Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vágner da Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henning Lingren in the 51st minute of play forced Helsingborgs IF's goalkeeper Oscar Rosin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Stennäs FF's Henning Lingren got a free kick in the 58th minute. Stennäs FF made a substitution. Åke Ahlquist replaced Arman Sandberg. Åke Ahlquist hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Stennäs FF's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Tham came free, but Ingemar Willig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helsingborgs IF's Oscar Rosin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henning Lingren in the 72nd minute of play. When Stennäs FF's Henning Lingren in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Oscar Rosin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henning Lingren in the 95th minute of play. The Helsingborgs IF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
