Årsta FF's Kurt Ryberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Åke Pålsson in the 7th minute of play. 8 minutes into the game, Stennäs FF's Henning Lingren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kurt Ryberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 13th minute, Örjan Levander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andréas Rudberg took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kurt Ryberg. Kurt Ryberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 18th match minute, Stennäs FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herman Rosin to maneuver through the defense. After 20 minutes of play, Stennäs FF's Andréas Rudberg made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kurt Ryberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Örjan Levander might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kurt Ryberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Örjan Levander ran back to his position shaking his head. Kurt Ryberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Örjan Levander in the 24th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Håkan Björklund in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kurt Ryberg saved Årsta FF from getting behind. In the 32nd minute, Bengt Söderberg fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A collision led to Årsta FF getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Nils-Emil Björklund hit a great ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Örjan Levander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stennäs FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Örjan Levander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kurt Ryberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Örjan Levander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th match minute, Stennäs FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Bergström to maneuver through the defense. Örjan Levander might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kurt Ryberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Årsta FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stennäs FF the free kick. Stennäs FF's Joakim Dalkvist was substituted for Per-Åke Pålsson. Arman Lundblad hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute Håkan Björklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurt Ryberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bengt Söderberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Håkan Björklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Kurt Ryberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Örjan Levanders short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Kurt Ryberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Håkan Björklund in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kurt Ryberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Årsta FF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Håkan Björklund scored to the left of an out of position Kurt Ryberg, making the score, 0-6. Bengt Söderberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingemar Willig having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Årsta FF's Paul Örnberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ingemar Willig narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nils-Emil Björklund's late challenge caught a Stennäs FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nils-Emil Björklund helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st match minute, Årsta FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils-Emil Björklund to maneuver through the defense. Simon Barck hit a great ball. If Örjan Levander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle sounded Stennäs FF left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Årsta FF.
