After some careless play in the Fastnet defense, Edvard Pilgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sören Klintæus. The Fastnet fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sören Klintæus should have stopped the shot. In the 18th match minute, Fastnet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Njurenius to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, IFK Fölet's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Olof Tunström came free, but Lars-Erik Hylander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fastnet's Per-Olof Tunström got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lars-Erik Hylander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Olof Tunström, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Anthon Finnman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Lars-Erik Hylander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to IFK Fölet getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ove Mellberg hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Per-Olof Tunström in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lars-Erik Hylander saved IFK Fölet from getting behind. In the 38th minute, Jonas Geofredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 42 played minutes Fastnet got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Kinnman. After 43 minutes of play, IFK Fölet's Edvard Pilgren made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sören Klintæus was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 47thth minute of the game Edvard Pilgren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fastnet's Sören Klintæus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Per-Olof Tunström made a kick off. Lars-Erik Hylander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthon Finnman, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Fastnet were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after IFK Fölet's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ragnar Strömqvist took the corner. After taking down the ball on Fastnet's corner Ragnar Strömqvist fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lars-Erik Hylander quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Geofredo in the 54th minute of play forced Fastnet's goalkeeper Sören Klintæus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edvard Pilgren in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sören Klintæus saved Fastnet from getting behind. After 60 played minutes Fastnet got a freekick which was hit by Leif Njurenius. In the 62nd minute Anthon Finnman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars-Erik Hylander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anthon Finnman in the 64th minute of play forced IFK Fölet's goalkeeper Lars-Erik Hylander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fastnet's Sören Klintæus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Geofredo in the 71st minute of play. Per-Olof Tunström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. The referee ignored IFK Fölet's protests and gave Jonas Geofredo a yellow card for diving instead. Jonas Geofredo hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Jonas Geofredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leif Njurenius kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 83rd minute of the match Joachim Wennerquist sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sören Klintæus skillfully saved the ball. In the 94th minute of the match Ove Mellberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sören Klintæus showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The IFK Fölet fans cheered their team off the field, for while Fastnet had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
