Bengt Beck was a little too slow when Kurt Gallberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-0. Bengt Beck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torsten Eliasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdemar Nässén kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Lennart Borre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oskar Benet in the 24th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Calle Nilsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mårten Apelkvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lennart Borre. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mårten Apelkvist ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torsten Eliasson in the 34th minute of play forced Lomma FK's goalkeeper Bengt Beck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bengt Beck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sigvard Bergman in the 35th minute. After 37 minutes of play, Chilenska AIK's Kurt Gallberg made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bengt Beck was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Oskar Benet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 40th match minute, Chilenska AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdemar Nässén to maneuver through the defense. The player immediately received a yellow card. Robinho Leite hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The coaching staff of Chilenska AIK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Calle Nilsson had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Alphonso Davies managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lomma FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Alphonso Davies was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lennart Borre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 67 minutes, Torsten Eliasson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chilenska AIK and the Lomma FK players grew even worse after the yellow card.
