The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Benny Kvick kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Sten Andreasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Kielstedt in the 12th minute of play. Hogans Heroes's Bright Morningstar was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sten Andreasson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Sven-Oskar Åhman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Hogans Heroes's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Isaksson came free, but Emil Wahlström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sten Andreasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Forssell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Reds's attentive Richard Frykberg managed to snatch the ball when Erik Albohm made a throw-in in the 37th minute of the game. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven-Oskar Åhman made a kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind The Reds's goalkeeper Sten Andreasson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 53 minutes of play, Hogans Heroes's Bright Morningstar made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sten Andreasson was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Hogans Heroes booed when The Reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Vogel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hogans Heroes's Sven-Oskar Åhman got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fred Isaksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Emil Wahlström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Harry Forssell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute Fred Isaksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Wahlström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Reds's Sten Andreasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Oskar Åhman in the 79th minute of play. Tomas Kielstedt took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sten Andreasson. Sten Andreasson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 83rd minute Tomas Kielstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Andreasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, The Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Kielstedt came free, but Sten Andreasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 minutes of play, Hogans Heroes's Sven-Oskar Åhman made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sten Andreasson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 93 minutes into the game, Hogans Heroes's Bright Morningstar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sten Andreasson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0.
