Karl-Åke Sandström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Boumans in the 8th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Ted Almstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Åke Sandström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Almstedt in the 10th minute of play forced Ginlabbet Stockholm's goalkeeper Karl-Åke Sandström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dragan Numanovićs short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Nils-Erik Åhlberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ted Almstedt in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl-Åke Sandström saved Ginlabbet Stockholm from getting behind. Karl-Åke Sandström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ted Almstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Runa United's goalkeeper Nils-Erik Åhlberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nils-Erik Fagrell. 31 minutes into the game, Harry Boumans cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Karl-Åke Sandström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After taking down the ball on Runa United's corner Matthias Lundin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Karl-Åke Sandström quite easily take care of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

In the 51st minute, Dragan Numanović hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Runa United's Nils-Erik Åhlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Montrel in the 58th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Harry Boumans took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Karl-Åke Sandström to make any attempt to save it. 66 minutes into the match, Ginlabbet Stockholm's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Boumans came free, but Karl-Åke Sandström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute Harry Boumans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Åke Sandström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute Nils-Erik Fagrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils-Erik Åhlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Runa United's Anttoni Salmelainen was substituted for Jörgen Lundström. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ginlabbet Stockholm's goalkeeper Karl-Åke Sandström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Runa United booed when Ginlabbet Stockholm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tord Smed didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Ginlabbet Stockholm fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-3. Egil Bern struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Nils-Erik Åhlberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ginlabbet Stockholm. Ginlabbet Stockholm were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Runa United for a fine match.
