Stig Vikström hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Mårten Abrahamsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stig-Ove Hedkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mårten Abrahamsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Talip Taşan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ronny Westerberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aykutalp Ezgü showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 39 minute of play.
