With a little luck, Norrlands Hjältar BK's Agustin Cejas got control of the ball when Joel Andreasson tried to sneak it across the goal line. The attack was good, but when Joel Andreasson in the 14th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 17 minutes, Hubert Lindqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Norrlands Hjältar BK and the Runa United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice moves Joel Andreasson could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Agustin Cejas however easily saved by the left post. In the 33rd minute of the match Runa United got a corner. Norrlands Hjältar BK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sivert Rönn ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Tommy Ekgren heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Joel Andreasson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Agustin Cejas having to make a save. After 45 played minutes Runa United got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Ekgren. Runa United's Nils-Erik Åhlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niklas Barck in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th match minute, Runa United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ted Almstedt to maneuver through the defense. Runa United's Harry Boumans was substituted for Ted Almstedt. In the 48th minute, Ted Almstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Harry Boumans was the one to do the kick off. Gunnar Hake's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Nils-Erik Åhlberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Norrlands Hjältar BK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mats Wennerqvist in the 58th minute. A nice corner shot did that Mats Wennerqvist got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nils-Erik Åhlberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 64 minutes of play, Runa United's Harry Boumans made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Agustin Cejas was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Joel Andreasson fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Runa United's protests and gave Joel Andreasson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Norrlands Hjältar BK booed when Runa United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Andreasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vitor Zurita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 73rd minute of the match, Emil Smedfeldt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nils-Erik Åhlberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Joel Andreasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustin Cejas having to interfere. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 85 minutes into the match, Norrlands Hjältar BK's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Andreasson came free, but Agustin Cejas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Runa United getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Tommy Ekgren hit a great ball.
