In the 6th match minute, spikarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Konrad Lewicki to maneuver through the defense. Lars Norberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lennart Möller went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Atakan Pepe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Oskar Dahlquist having to interfere. With a little luck, Hammarby Gård's Sven-Oskar Dahlquist got control of the ball when Kaj Hård tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute of the match, Sven Nordkvist tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sven-Oskar Dahlquist saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 26th minute, Sven Nordkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The spikarna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Sven-Oskar Dahlquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Witomir Ziomkowski in the 30th minute of play. Jarl Apelqvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lars Norberg having to make a save. In the 39th minute Thor Ekström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Norberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hammarby Gård's Michael Lindholm got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kaj Hård was the one to do the kick off. Hammarby Gård's Sven-Oskar Dahlquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atakan Pepe in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute of the match, Lennart Möller got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lars Norberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 56th minute Hammarby Gård were awarded a corner. Michael Lindholm went to the cornerflag to take it. Michael Lindholm made a great header on Hammarby Gård's corner, it was just that spikarna's Lars Norberg managed to reach the ball for a save. Sven-Oskar Dahlquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaj Hård, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. A collision led to Hammarby Gård getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Thomas Svanström hit a great ball. Jarl Apelqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sven-Oskar Dahlquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaj Hård in the 73rd minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Kaj Hård notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Hammarby Gård's Sven-Oskar Dahlquist. Sven-Oskar Dahlquist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Patric Lenberg kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in spikarna's zone, Jarl Apelqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lars Norberg came out of the goal and Jarl Apelqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. spikarna had won after a very even match.
