The crowd rose to their feet as Newcastle United FC's Marko Gustavsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Keefe Paulsen. That made the score 3-0 after 28 minutes of play. BK Forward's attentive Ulf Lövkvist managed to snatch the ball when Aaron Knutsson made a throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game. BK Forward's Keefe Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Olofsson in the 37th minute of play. In the 37th minute Lars Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keefe Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Newcastle United FC booed when BK Forward was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Åke Käller didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lars Olofsson in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keefe Paulsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. BK Forward's Keefe Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Max Mohammad in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute of the match Newcastle United FC got a corner. BK Forward's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Claes Ahlroht ran over to the corner to take the kick. Otto Hermansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcus Kinell in the 64th minute. When Marcus Kinell came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the BK Forward fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Kinell couldn't finish the play. Keefe Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Olofsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 93 minutes Newcastle United FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ulf Lövkvist who took care of the corner kick.
