The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute of the game Ingmar Falkrans made a throw-in which Tom Hellström played forward. A collision led to Hammarstrand getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Joakim Löfgren hit a great ball. Vidar Kellbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatan Olsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, VBL Stockholm's goal looked a bit too open when Tom Hellström came free, but Carl-Chester Vallgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olov Johnsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vidar Kellbom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Tom Hellström made in the 15th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Axel Lindell immediately put the ball in play. Hammarstrand's Vidar Kellbom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Olsson in the 18th minute of play. Carl-Chester Vallgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Mellin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. VBL Stockholm's Carl-Chester Vallgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magnus Högberg in the 22nd minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, VBL Stockholm's goalkeeper Carl-Chester Vallgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Magnus Högberg. 24 minutes into the match, Hammarstrand's goal looked a bit too open when Eerik Lilleorg came free, but Vidar Kellbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 minutes Hammarstrand's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alfie Solomon who took care of the corner kick. The corner led VBL Stockholm's Alfie Solomon to fire away a dangerous shot which Vidar Kellbom despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Joakim Löfgren kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Olov Johnsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vidar Kellbom having to make a save. Hammarstrand's Vidar Kellbom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olov Johnsson in the 29th minute of play. Carl-Chester Vallgren came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Hammarstrand's Magnus Högberg. But to his dismay, Magnus Högberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexander Mellin to strike the kick off in the second half. Viktor Örtlund scored 2-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carl-Chester Vallgren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Magnus Högberg in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carl-Chester Vallgren saved VBL Stockholm from getting behind. 62 minutes into the match, Hammarstrand's goal looked a bit too open when Olov Johnsson came free, but Vidar Kellbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute Alexander Mellin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl-Chester Vallgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. VBL Stockholm's Olov Johnsson got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Hammarstrand's zone, Olov Johnsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vidar Kellbom came out of the goal and Olov Johnsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th minute Birger Larsfält shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl-Chester Vallgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christopher Strömqvist hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. A collision led to VBL Stockholm getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Christopher Strömqvist hit a great ball. Carl-Chester Vallgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Hellström in the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Alexander Mellin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl-Chester Vallgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of VBL Stockholm booed when Hammarstrand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joakim Löfgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was beautiful to see VBL Stockholm's Alfie Solomon in action when he in the 89th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexander Mellin in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carl-Chester Vallgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee felt a red card was in order, 95 minutes into the game, when Torbjörn Grönlund put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in VBL Stockholm fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! For all the effort they put into the match, the VBL Stockholm players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hammarstrand.
