The supporters of Hovby IF booed when The Charlatans was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Erik Åhlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, The Charlatans's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Oskar Beneth came free, but Ingvar Svensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Charlatans had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
