When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Per Örtendal sped through Fortuna Grimsta IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ted Linberg. 37 minutes into the match, Fortuna Grimsta IF's goal looked a bit too open when Conny Ahlstedt came free, but Ted Linberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Per Örtendal to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Fortuna Grimsta IF's goalkeeper Ted Linberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conny Ahlstedt. The supporters of Assyriska-Syrianska booed when Fortuna Grimsta IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niklas Lindfors didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Conny Ahlstedt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62nd match minute, Assyriska-Syrianska was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kasper Telin to maneuver through the defense. The Fortuna Grimsta IF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Assyriska-Syrianska's performance. The match ended with a win for Assyriska-Syrianska.
