Spectators: 7946 (Terracing: 5960, Seating: 1828, VIP seats: 158) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jerry Fågel took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Kevin Keegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Solskin defense, Knut Rudberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martin Lundgren. The Solskin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martin Lundgren should have stopped the shot. Martin Lundgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Keegan in the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Kevin Keegan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Lundgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Solskin's zone, Hjalmar Hägert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Lundgren came out of the goal and Hjalmar Hägert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Keegan in the 15th minute of play forced Solskin's goalkeeper Martin Lundgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chen Ao Fan in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Lundgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Keegan in the 18th minute of play forced Solskin's goalkeeper Martin Lundgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kevin Keegan in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martin Lundgren saved Solskin from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chen Ao Fan in the 26th minute of play forced Solskin's goalkeeper Martin Lundgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Chen Ao Fan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skövde AIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Chen Ao Fan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Lundgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute Knut Rudberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Lundgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 minutes of play, Skövde AIK's Kevin Keegan made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martin Lundgren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Martin Lundgren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kevin Keegan went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Martin Lundgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Keegan in the 40th minute of play. After the first half Skövde AIK were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kevin Keegan to make the kick off. If Kevin Keegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Solskin's Martin Lundgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Solskin from getting a goal against them. Anthon Nykvist hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Kurt Hamrin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Martin Lundgren. That made the score 0-7 in the 61 minute of play. Chen Ao Fan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Kevin Keegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Lundgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Hamrin in the 72nd minute of play. Kevin Keegan came free in the 76th minute and tried to tip the ball over Martin Lundgren, but to the joy of Solskin's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. In the 78th minute, Kevin Keegan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Solskin's zone, Georg Norström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Lundgren came out of the goal and Georg Norström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jerry Williams received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Martin Lundgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kevin Keegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Kevin Keegan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martin Lundgren. Solskin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kevin Keegan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-10. When the final whistle sounded Skövde AIK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Solskin.
