After taking down the ball on Hovby IF's corner Harald Axelsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ted Linberg quite easily take care of the ball. In the 14th minute, Napoleon Wicherek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ted Linberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Oskar Beneth in the 15th minute. Stefan Tunberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Ted Linberg made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Hovby IF's zone, Isak Andberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Jara came out of the goal and Isak Andberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Fortuna Grimsta IF's Georg Ekelund got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 41st minute, Urban Skog hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stefan Tunberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Ted Linberg made a huge save. Ted Linberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stefan Tunberg in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Isak Andberg made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Fortuna Grimsta IF's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Tsubasa came free, but Ted Linberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isak Andberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stefan Tunberg scored 1-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ted Linberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fortuna Grimsta IF's Ted Linberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Tsubasa in the 62nd minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Fortuna Grimsta IF's goalie and right to Gogo Maldonado. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Fortuna Grimsta IF's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ted Linberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Tunberg in the 74th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oliver Tsubasa in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ted Linberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 77 minutes into the match, Hovby IF's goalkeeper Leonardo Jara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isak Andberg. After 82 played minutes Hovby IF got a freekick which was hit by Johannes Lång. Ted Linberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Tsubasa in the 92nd minute of the match. The supporters of Fortuna Grimsta IF booed when Hovby IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Majman didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fortuna Grimsta IF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hovby IF.
