Vilgot Pedersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Örtendal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, BK Murre's goal looked a bit too open when Yngve Walmarsson came free, but Vilgot Pedersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Newsome hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Per Örtendal took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vilgot Pedersson. Vilgot Pedersson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After 21 minutes of play, Assyriska-Syrianska's Sebastian Olofsson made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vilgot Pedersson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 24 minutes into the match, BK Murre's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Olofsson came free, but Vilgot Pedersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, BK Murre's Olle Bergqvist got a free kick in the 24th minute. Vilgot Pedersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Örtendal in the 25th minute of the match. With a little luck, Assyriska-Syrianska's Torbjörn Stephansson got control of the ball when Timmy Samuelsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sven-Åke Låsberg made in the 33rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Rutger Grep however managed to control. If Wilson Newsome had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A throw-in in the 39th minute of the game was made by Rutger Grep with Per Örtendal as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Olofsson in the 41st minute of play forced BK Murre's goalkeeper Vilgot Pedersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BK Murre's Vilgot Pedersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per Örtendal in the 44th minute of play. Vilgot Pedersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Olofsson in the 45th minute of play. Torbjörn Stephansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olle Bergqvist in the 47th minute. After the first half Assyriska-Syrianska were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Olle Bergqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Örtendal in the 56th minute of play forced BK Murre's goalkeeper Vilgot Pedersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Timmy Samuelsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BK Murre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. In the 61st minute, Assyriska-Syrianska's Sebastian Olofsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. Per Örtendal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Vilgot Pedersson made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yngve Walmarsson got free with Vilgot Pedersson in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Assyriska-Syrianska's Sebastian Olofsson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vilgot Pedersson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Lars Sjöberg kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind BK Murre's goalkeeper Vilgot Pedersson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Assyriska-Syrianska booed when BK Murre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Sjöberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vilgot Pedersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Olofsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Assyriska-Syrianska eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
