Gösta Gustafsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Småland Utd's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Gösta Gustafsson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but HEJA ESLÖV's Simon Bergsten did a great save. 10 minutes into the match, Frank Berggren dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Simon Bergsten, 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers August Mattsson in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joacim Hultman saved Småland Utd from getting behind. Gösta Gustafsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Småland Utd's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Arman Hansson heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Frank Berggren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Småland Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Berggren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Bergsten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute, Frank Berggren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. HEJA ESLÖV's Simon Bergsten proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save HEJA ESLÖV from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Småland Utd booed when HEJA ESLÖV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magne Bohlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bengt-Rune Kämpe hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Småland Utd's Sven-Ove Lövgren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Simon Bergsten. Simon Bergsten yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Simon Bergsten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Ove Lövgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. HEJA ESLÖV's Simon Bergsten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Berggren in the 56th minute of play. Frank Berggren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Simon Bergsten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simon Bergsten stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Berggren's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. After 67 minutes HEJA ESLÖV's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gösta Gustafsson who took care of the corner kick. In the 70th minute, Frank Berggren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Småland Utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Simon Bergsten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Berggren in the 74th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in HEJA ESLÖV's zone, Frank Berggren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Bergsten came out of the goal and Frank Berggren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 78th minute, Sven Wennersten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simon Bergsten was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. Frank Berggren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Bergsten having to interfere. If Frank Berggren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Frank Berggren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simon Bergsten was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. Frank Berggren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
