Bergandy's Franco Di Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikael Ahlström in the 4th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bergandy's Thor Ståhlberg got a free kick in the 5th minute. Thor Ståhlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Bengt-Åke Fågel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bengt-Åke Fågel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven Granberg in the 15th minute of play. In the 25th minute Thor Ståhlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Åke Fågel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bergandy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sven Granberg in the 26th minute. Ulrik Bengtsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mikael Ahlström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franco Di Massa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Bergandy's Franco Di Massa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Bergandy from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Granberg in the 36th minute of play forced Hölö Mörkö IF's goalkeeper Bengt-Åke Fågel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven Granberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bengt-Åke Fågel. Hölö Mörkö IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 46th minute, Hölö Mörkö IF's Mikael Ahlström ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Franco Di Massa. Franco Di Massa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Hölö Mörkö IF's zone, Thor Ståhlberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt-Åke Fågel came out of the goal and Thor Ståhlberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Hölö Mörkö IF defense, Sven Granberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bengt-Åke Fågel. The Hölö Mörkö IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bengt-Åke Fågel should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Bergandy's Sven Granberg got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute, Thor Ståhlberg fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Sven Granberg scored 1-2 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bengt-Åke Fågel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Ingvar Molander kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bengt-Åke Fågel. That made the score 1-3 in the 71 minute of play. Sven Granberg shot from long distance in the 77th minute, but Bengt-Åke Fågel was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Nicolae Onea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hölö Mörkö IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolae Onea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franco Di Massa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 86 minutes into the match, Hölö Mörkö IF's goalkeeper Bengt-Åke Fågel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven Granberg. The supporters of Bergandy booed when Hölö Mörkö IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolae Onea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute of the match, Thor Ståhlberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bengt-Åke Fågel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gösta Säf hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, Bengt-Åke Fågel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bergandy's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
