After taking down the ball on FC St. Pauli's corner Emil Nyberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vilhelm Vennerström quite easily take care of the ball. Johannes Brandin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vilhelm Vennerström having to interfere. Vilhelm Vennerström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emil Enegren's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. In the 15th match minute, Heps BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrik Hellsing to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, Heps BK's Leonardo Lövgren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Buach Byrne. Buach Byrne yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Brandin in the 19th minute of play forced Heps BK's goalkeeper Vilhelm Vennerström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heps BK's Vilhelm Vennerström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Brandin in the 21st minute of play. Vilhelm Vennerström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Enegren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 minutes Heps BK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emil Nyberg who took care of the corner kick. 31 minutes into the match, Heps BK's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Enegren came free, but Vilhelm Vennerström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heps BK's Vilhelm Vennerström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Enegren in the 39th minute of play. Emil Enegren took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vilhelm Vennerström. Vilhelm Vennerström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 47 minutes into the game, Johan Rosendal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Heps BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC St. Pauli the free kick. The supporters of FC St. Pauli booed when Heps BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johan Rosendal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emil Enegren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Rosendal in the 52nd minute of play forced FC St. Pauli's goalkeeper Buach Byrne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Heps BK's Johan Rosendal, in the 52nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Heps BK. Arne Wassenius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Buach Byrne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 played minutes Heps BK got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Lövgren. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrik Hellsing during the 59th minute. Emil Enegren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Vilhelm Vennerström made a huge save. A hard shot 78 in the game by Emil Enegren from a close distance when the talented Vilhelm Vennerström managed to make a qualified save. Heps BK's players were relieved. FC St. Pauli's Emil Enegren got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Heps BK's Vilhelm Vennerström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Heps BK from getting a goal against them. Raik Ağın could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Vilhelm Vennerström made a huge save. FC St. Pauli were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after Heps BK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emil Nyberg took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Johannes Brandin heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely.
