In the 4th minute Aleksander Lindholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Hellqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fred Hellqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Hägert in the 13th minute of play. In the 18th minute of the match Hemse RK got a corner. Kumla BK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andy Cane ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 19th minute Aleksander Lindholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Hellqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Kumla BK defense, Aleksander Lindholm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fred Hellqvist. The Kumla BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fred Hellqvist should have stopped the shot. Roger Larsson kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 34th minute Hemse RK were awarded a corner. Andy Cane went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 42nd minute, Jesper Lindqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gert Olsson during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Hemse RK booed when Kumla BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gert Olsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Kumla BK's Gert Olsson got a free kick in the 45th minute.

Hemse RK's Fredrik Klack was substituted for Eddie Larsson. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jörn Hult stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Aleksander Lindholm came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Hemse RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aleksander Lindholm couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Aleksander Lindholm put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Fred Hellqvist. Aleksander Lindholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 67 minutes into the match, Aleksander Lindholm had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fred Hellqvist. Kumla BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aleksander Lindholm was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 71 played minutes Hemse RK got a freekick which was hit by Ture Kuse. The throw-in from Dan Vennerdal in the 76th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Hemse RK's Antônio Carlos Nogueira. When Hemse RK's Aleksander Lindholm in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kumla BK's goalie prevented a goal. In the 81st minute, Torbjörn Skark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aureliusz Giejda was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Galen Fågel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rikard Wallgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aleksander Lindholm in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fred Hellqvist saved Kumla BK from getting behind. 96 minutes into the match, Kumla BK's goal looked a bit too open when Aleksander Lindholm came free, but Fred Hellqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aleksander Lindholm in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fred Hellqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 98th match minute, Kumla BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörn Hult to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Hemse RK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kumla BK throughout the match.
