In the 9th minute, Osvald Mattsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dan Almkvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Conny Josefsson's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Vilbergen Boys Club's Osvald Mattsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dan Almkvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Betão Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Vilbergen Boys Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vilbergen Boys Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
