The audience thought a goal was coming when Unto Ilola got free with Jan Abrahamsson in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Braulio Corderro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The PP Plessydask fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when PP Plessydask's Edgar Marques looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Braulio Corderro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgar Marques went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 张战彬 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When İlhan Yelesen fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olympiakos's protests and gave İlhan Yelesen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute, İlhan Yelesen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Unto Ilola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Jan Abrahamsson made a huge save. Edgar Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 30 minutes, Edgar Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PP Plessydask's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Braulio Corderro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Marques in the 34th minute of play. PP Plessydask were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Olympiakos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Artemio Lastur took the corner. The corner led PP Plessydask's Artemio Lastur to fire away a dangerous shot which Braulio Corderro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Braulio Corderro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henrik Grönlund to make the kick off. When PP Plessydask's Edgar Marques in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Olympiakos's Leigh Blake was substituted for 张战彬. Jan Abrahamsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leigh Blake in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Unto Ilola in the 79th minute of play forced PP Plessydask's goalkeeper Jan Abrahamsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Olympiakos's zone, Bertil Lundberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braulio Corderro came out of the goal and Bertil Lundberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olympiakos made a substitution. Harold Coenens replaced Tomas Sandström. In the 91stth minute of the game Marcin Harasimowicz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olympiakos's Braulio Corderro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 92nd play minute Marcin Harasimowicz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Braulio Corderro. 0-3. Braulio Corderro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcin Harasimowicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. PP Plessydask were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Olympiakos's much stronger midfield.
