The audience thought a goal was coming when Christoforos Manousopoulos got free with Jesper Hellgren in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ola Wall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erland Arhenius, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Christoforos Manousopoulos scored 2-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jesper Hellgren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kader Gonet was the one to do the kick off.
