The coaching staff of Huvudstaden protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Torgny Hydén had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Huvudstaden fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 6th minute. Penalty! Bengt Apelquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sune Sigvardsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Torgny Finsberg during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Frosta Härad IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torgny Finsberg to maneuver through the defense. Huvudstaden's Patrik Heggert couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Frosta Härad IF. A collision led to Huvudstaden getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Peder Sarstedt hit a great ball. Bengt Apelquist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bertil Cedergård went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Frosta Härad IF's zone, Patrik Heggert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Urban Cedergård came out of the goal and Patrik Heggert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kent Jonasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urban Cedergård having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Urban Cedergård made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrik Heggert in the 51st minute of play. In the 55th minute Sune Sigvardsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt Apelquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Huvudstaden's goal looked a bit too open when Sune Sigvardsson came free, but Bengt Apelquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Huvudstaden's Eralp Sipahi pulled a muscle in his back after 59 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Bertil Cedergård charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bertil Cedergård the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Huvudstaden made a substitution. Tage Rudqvist replaced Eralp Sipahi. After a rather tough play, Frosta Härad IF's Bertil Cedergård got a free kick in the 61st minute. Urban Cedergård showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Jonasson in the 65th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Kent Jonasson made a precise shot to the right of Urban Cedergård. Frosta Härad IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Patrik Heggert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Urban Cedergård having to make a save. In the 79th match minute, Frosta Härad IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peder Nordstedt to maneuver through the defense. Urban Cedergård showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrik Heggert, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After a rather tough play, Frosta Härad IF's Torbjörn Tunström got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 82 played minutes, Huvudstaden's Patrik Heggert shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Urban Cedergård came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Huvudstaden reached it. Urban Cedergård took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrik Heggert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bertil Cedergårds short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Bengt Apelquist to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Urban Cedergård made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tage Rudqvist in the 89th minute of play. Frosta Härad IF's Urban Cedergård played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrik Heggert in the 90th minute of play. Patrik Heggert scored 2-3 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Urban Cedergård, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Frosta Härad IF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
