When Torgny Hydén fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huvudstaden's protests and gave Torgny Hydén a yellow card for diving instead. Bengt Apelquist was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Krzysztof Bobrowski. Bengt Apelquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Svan in the 30th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Stockholm IF's Mattias Svan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0.

In the 54th minute Mattias Svan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt Apelquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Andreas Andersson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
