In the 4th match minute, Shqiponja FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mattias Olsson to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horea Vulcănescu in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anton Wiklund saved Shqiponja FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Shqiponja FC's zone, John Jernberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Wiklund came out of the goal and John Jernberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anton Wiklund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Stensson in the 11th minute of the match. Anton Wiklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arne Stensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Cléber Marinho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Shqiponja FC's Anton Wiklund. Anton Wiklund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 20 minutes, Kaj Classon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shqiponja FC and the G A I S players grew even worse after the yellow card. The G A I S fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when G A I S's Horea Vulcănescu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 40 minutes into the game, Niklas Sjö was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shqiponja FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave G A I S the free kick. In the 40th minute, Niklas Sjö hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. G A I S's Staffan Eckegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Olsson in the 44th minute of play. When Horea Vulcănescu came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the G A I S fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horea Vulcănescu couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kaj Classon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anton Wiklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horea Vulcănescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bror Bengtsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Staffan Eckegren having to interfere. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. John Jernberg took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anton Wiklund. Anton Wiklund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After a rather tough play, Shqiponja FC's Mattias Olsson got a free kick in the 66th minute. Mattias Olsson hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 0-5 became the score in the 70th minute when Horea Vulcănescu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Anton Wiklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Stensson in the 90th minute of play. Anton Wiklund didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when G A I S's Arne Stensson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-8 in the ordered_time% minute. 94 minutes into the game, Horea Vulcănescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anton Wiklund. Horea Vulcănescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. G A I S's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
