An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdulkerim Türköne in the 9th minute of play forced Brothers of Mercy's goalkeeper Ni Jun Sha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11thth minute of the game Abdulkerim Türköne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brothers of Mercy's Ni Jun Sha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Abdulkerim Türköne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ni Jun Sha was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. The Ipswich Traktor Boys fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Ipswich Traktor Boys's Abdulkerim Türköne looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Ni Jun Sha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdulkerim Türköne in the 25th minute of play. Ipswich Traktor Boys's Marcos Basso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Håkan Lindgren in the 36th minute of play. Abdulkerim Türköne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ni Jun Sha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Ipswich Traktor Boys's Herbert Holmgren broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Håkan Lindgren to make the kick off. Ipswich Traktor Boys's attentive Slawomir Cisek managed to snatch the ball when Gabriel Saliba made a throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game. Abdulkerim Türköne took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ni Jun Sha. Ni Jun Sha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. A collision led to Brothers of Mercy getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Kornél Ács hit a great ball. In the 65th minute, Håkan Lindgren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Basso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 69thth minute of the game Håkan Lindgren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ipswich Traktor Boys's Marcos Basso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ni Jun Sha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdulkerim Türköne, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Ipswich Traktor Boys's goal looked a bit too open when 狄亦渊 came free, but Marcos Basso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute of the match, Abdulkerim Türköne got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ni Jun Sha was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Christer Valler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ipswich Traktor Boys's Rasmus Bark was substituted for Pawel Gibowski. Ipswich Traktor Boys's Torgny Söderström was substituted for Slawomir Cisek. In the 82nd minute Håkan Lindgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Basso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Basso came out of the goal and Håkan Lindgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 97 played minutes Ipswich Traktor Boys got a freekick which was hit by Bastian Von Axelson. When the final whistle sounded Ipswich Traktor Boys left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Brothers of Mercy.
