With a left leg Wictor Mejling saved Bagarmossen from getting behind. Staffan Eckegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tor Fredriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. G A I S's Staffan Eckegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frans Hökkvist in the 38th minute of play. When Jens-Åke Godholm came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Bagarmossen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jens-Åke Godholm couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Bagarmossen's Thomás Nickerson was substituted for Frans Hökkvist. Bagarmossen's Kent Norberg was substituted for Börje Westerberg. Bagarmossen made a substitution. G A I S were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Bagarmossen's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cléber Marinho took the corner. The corner ended in Cléber Marinho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bagarmossen's Wictor Mejling did a great save. 78 minutes into the match, G A I S's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Norberg came free, but Staffan Eckegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
