Sven-Ove Stål started the match with the kick off. Garsås IF's attentive Maicon Pereira managed to snatch the ball when Hannes Kempenaerts made a throw-in in the 6th minute of the game. In the 8th minute Ozan Heybetli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfons Sjö saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Garsås IF's goal looked a bit too open when Ozan Heybetli came free, but Alfons Sjö reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes in the game Göran Lindholm did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Bror Ståhlman. 17 minutes into the match, Garsås IF's goal looked a bit too open when Ozan Heybetli came free, but Alfons Sjö reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfons Sjö made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ozan Heybetli in the 23rd minute of play. But to his dismay, Ozan Heybetli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Göran Lindholm kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Sixten Tunander stood somewhat misplaced when Archie Brodie came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 32 minute. Alfons Sjö showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ozan Heybetli in the 34th minute of the match. A collision led to Garsås IF getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Enrico Cesaroni hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, Garsås IF's goal looked a bit too open when Ozan Heybetli came free, but Alfons Sjö reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ozan Heybetli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfons Sjö read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ozan Heybetli to strike the kick off in the second half. Alfons Sjö stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ozan Heybetli's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. In the 61st minute Ozan Heybetli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfons Sjö saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Hammarby Sjöstad's Ozan Heybetli got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Rafail Klenov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Garsås IF's Alfons Sjö got control of the ball when Ozan Heybetli tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Ove Stål in the 78th minute of play forced FC Hammarby Sjöstad's goalkeeper Sixten Tunander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfons Sjö was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Ozan Heybetli capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ozan Heybetli really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After having played for 90 minutes, Ozan Heybetli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Hammarby Sjöstad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ozan Heybetli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Hammarby Sjöstad's Staffan Arenius got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Garsås IF's Alfons Sjö played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ozan Heybetli in the 95th minute of play. The Garsås IF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Hammarby Sjöstad's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Hammarby Sjöstad.
