The corner led Hummerfiskarna's Florin Răducioiu to fire away a dangerous shot which Francesco Marines despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 15th minute Sonny Perkins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Mattsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Holger Mattsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sonny Perkins in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes in the game, Sonny Perkins dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Andrea De Toro took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Francesco Marines. Francesco Marines dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Andrea De Toro struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Francesco Marines didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hummerfiskarna. In the 25th minute Andrea De Toro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Marines saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francesco Marines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bolli Bolla in the 29th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrea De Toro in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francesco Marines saved Quetzal Flyers Hammers from getting behind. Francesco Marines stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrea De Toro's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Hummerfiskarna made a substitution. Conrado Olayo replaced Hana Banana. 38 minutes in the game Glenn Hysén did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Moncho Almonte. Hummerfiskarna's attentive Tomas Gorbea managed to snatch the ball when Glenn Hysén made a throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game.

The wind increased when Bolli Bolla made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Queirós in the 52nd minute of play forced Quetzal Flyers Hammers's goalkeeper Francesco Marines to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 52nd minute Arnaldo Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Marines saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Francesco Marines proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Quetzal Flyers Hammers from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Leonard Käller got a free kick in the 64th minute. Andrea De Toro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Francesco Marines firmly grabbed it by the left post. 66 minutes into the match, Quetzal Flyers Hammers's goalkeeper Francesco Marines had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrea De Toro. Holger Mattsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Cote, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Holger Mattsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony Cote, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrea De Toro in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francesco Marines prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 71st minute Sonny Perkins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Mattsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 74 minutes, Bolli Bolla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hummerfiskarna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bolli Bolla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francesco Marines showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 78th minute, Arnaldo Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Francesco Marines stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnaldo Queirós's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Francesco Marines showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Queirós in the 82nd minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Florin Răducioiu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Francesco Marines quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 90th match minute, Hummerfiskarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bolli Bolla to maneuver through the defense. Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Francesco Marines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Queirós in the 97th minute of play. The Hummerfiskarna supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hummerfiskarna would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
