The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, FC LUBLIN's Cezary Drozdowski got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 9th minute, FC LUBLIN's Barnaba Debowski seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Barnaba Debowski the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC LUBLIN protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Barnaba Debowski had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Florian Domamir's late challenge caught a KKS Lech Poznań's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florian Domamir helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th minute, Florian Domamir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, FC LUBLIN's goal looked a bit too open when Korneliusz Puzio came free, but Cyryl Gotfryd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When KKS Lech Poznań's Remigiusz Niemojewski in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 29 minutes of play, KKS Lech Poznań's Remigiusz Niemojewski made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After having played for 39 minutes, Milosz Kaznocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC LUBLIN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milosz Kaznocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC LUBLIN's Cyryl Gotfryd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remigiusz Niemojewski in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience was convinced that Korneliusz Puzio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cyryl Gotfryd was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. When KKS Lech Poznań's Remigiusz Niemojewski in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cyryl Gotfryd made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. If Korneliusz Puzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute Korneliusz Puzio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cyryl Gotfryd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 86 minutes of play, KKS Lech Poznań's Remigiusz Niemojewski made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cyryl Gotfryd was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 90thth minute of the game Karol Wieloch who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC LUBLIN's Cyryl Gotfryd was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 93rd minute, Korneliusz Puzio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cyryl Gotfryd. The goal made the score 0-6. Zygmunt Chrzan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Marud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The FC LUBLIN fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. KKS Lech Poznań were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
