When Igor Bronder fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trident Gdańsk's protests and gave Igor Bronder a yellow card for diving instead. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Trident Gdańsk! In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Joniny SA. Cyryl Pusiak stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hieronim Drugi. 0-1. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Wasyl Szostak put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Hieronim Drugi. In the 14th minute Wasyl Szostak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hieronim Drugi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miromir Fetor struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Hieronim Drugi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Joniny SA. Hieronim Drugi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wasyl Szostak in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th match minute, Trident Gdańsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wincent Szpakowski to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute Wasyl Szostak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hieronim Drugi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Radomir Koperski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klement Zawacki, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Trident Gdańsk's goal looked a bit too open when Wasyl Szostak came free, but Hieronim Drugi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Trident Gdańsk getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Wincent Szpakowski hit a great ball. Trident Gdańsk's Hieronim Drugi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miromir Fetor in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Wasyl Szostak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Joniny SA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Hieronim Drugi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wasyl Szostak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Radomir Koperski made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Robert Lampa sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Klement Zawacki in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Radomir Koperski saved Joniny SA from getting behind. Dariusz Rydzewski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robert Lampa to make the kick off. Hieronim Drugi made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Zbyszek Naumowicz sent off a good shot on target. Hieronim Drugi made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Miromir Fetor sent off a good shot on target. Radomir Koperski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Lampa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miromir Fetor scored 0-4 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hieronim Drugi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 70 minutes into the match, Joniny SA's Miromir Fetor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hieronim Drugi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Joniny SA booed when Trident Gdańsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Bronder didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74thth minute of the game Wasyl Szostak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trident Gdańsk's Hieronim Drugi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 76th minute Kryspin Skikiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radomir Koperski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wasyl Szostak during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th minute, Wasyl Szostak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Wasyl Szostak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 88th minute Robert Lampa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radomir Koperski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Lampa in the 89th minute of play forced Joniny SA's goalkeeper Radomir Koperski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th match minute, Trident Gdańsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wincent Szpakowski to maneuver through the defense.
