An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleksander Prokowski in the 29th minute of play forced Krajna's goalkeeper Dráusio de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the game, Utah Jazz's Robert Adamus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dráusio de Azevedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Dariusz Raflewski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Emil Lato made a huge save. Krajna's Dráusio de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zygmunt Treppa in the 42nd minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Utah Jazz's Aleksander Prokowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robert Adamus in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dráusio de Azevedo saved Krajna from getting behind.
