The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edmund Rostow's late challenge caught a POG... SZECIN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmund Rostow helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Krówniki getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Edmund Rostow hit a great ball. Tytus Smolarek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Przemyslaw Bielejewski went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 14 minutes into the match, POG... SZECIN's goal looked a bit too open when Przemyslaw Rosen came free, but Karol Jaszcz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Przemyslaw Rosen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Karol Jaszcz came out and tried to block the shot, but Przemyslaw Rosen slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 16th minute. Tytus Smolarek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Przemyslaw Bielejewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 23 minutes, Wladyslaw Noworolnik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. POG... SZECIN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wladyslaw Noworolnik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 24 minutes, Przemyslaw Bielejewski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. POG... With a little luck, POG... SZECIN's Karol Jaszcz got control of the ball when Marek Orlicki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marek Orlicki might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karol Jaszcz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marek Orlicki ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Krówniki booed when POG... SZECIN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jurand Rosen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marek Orlicki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Karol Jaszcz made a huge save. Przemyslaw Bielejewski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tytus Smolarek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Przemyslaw Rosen to strike the kick off in the second half. If Marek Orlicki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Krówniki's Przemyslaw Rosen got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, POG... SZECIN's Przemyslaw Bielejewski dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. In the 69th minute Marek Orlicki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karol Jaszcz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Przemyslaw Rosen took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karol Jaszcz. Karol Jaszcz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. After a rather tough play, Krówniki's Grzegorz Skonieczny got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Przemyslaw Rosen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Krówniki's supporters rose to their feet, but Przemyslaw Rosen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karol Jaszcz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Przemyslaw Rosen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Przemyslaw Bielejewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Tytus Smolarek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute Wladyslaw Noworolnik suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 88th minute, Grzegorz Skonieczny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the POG... SZECIN defense, Marek Orlicki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karol Jaszcz. The POG... SZECIN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karol Jaszcz should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the POG... SZECIN players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Krówniki.
