Spectators: 6678 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 0) Ruch Chorzów's Alfred Nowakowski started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zelipe Argüelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gwidon Furtok having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Zelipe Argüelles reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gwidon Furtok. The goal made the score 1-0. Zelipe Argüelles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gwidon Furtok read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Gwidon Furtok made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Zelipe Argüelles sent off a good shot on target. After 17 played minutes Ruch Chorzów got a freekick which was hit by Tadeusz Kosmatka. After 19 played minutes U.S. Palermo Aquile got a freekick which was hit by Cyprian Liermann. In the 20th minute, Lucjan Zbydniowski sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and U.S. Palermo Aquile's Octav Cârlan didn't even have to move. In the 21st match minute, U.S. Palermo Aquile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cezary Siembab to maneuver through the defense. Gwidon Furtok showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezary Siembab, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zelipe Argüelles in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gwidon Furtok saved Ruch Chorzów from getting behind. Aleksander Kornaszewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zelipe Argüelles struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Gwidon Furtok didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U.S. Palermo Aquile. Jan Brak kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ruch Chorzów's goalkeeper Gwidon Furtok, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes in the game, Zelipe Argüelles fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gwidon Furtok having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Zelipe Argüelles managed to get in a good position for a shot. U.S. Palermo Aquile's supporters rose to their feet, but Zelipe Argüelles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gwidon Furtok breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emil Posadzki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gwidon Furtok having to make a save. Octav Cârlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patryk Giec in the 42nd minute of play. Lucjan Zbydniowski walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Zelipe Argüelles made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, U.S. Palermo Aquile's Kazimierz Rydzewski got a free kick in the 52nd minute. U.S. Palermo Aquile's Octav Cârlan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save U.S. Palermo Aquile from getting a goal against them. If Emil Posadzki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 61 minutes of play, U.S. Palermo Aquile's Zelipe Argüelles made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gwidon Furtok was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zelipe Argüelles in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gwidon Furtok saved Ruch Chorzów from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in U.S. Palermo Aquile's zone, Patryk Giec stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octav Cârlan came out of the goal and Patryk Giec tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cyprian Liermann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 79 minutes of play, U.S. Palermo Aquile's Emil Posadzki made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gwidon Furtok was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82nd minute, one of U.S. Palermo Aquile:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for U.S. Palermo Aquile. Lucjan Zbydniowski placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! When Aleksander Kornaszewski came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the U.S. Palermo Aquile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aleksander Kornaszewski couldn't finish the play. If Emil Posadzki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 97th play minutes Patryk Giec shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Octav Cârlan and just under the crossbar into goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. U.S. Palermo Aquile had played much better football throughout.
