Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Borys Nakoneczny started the match with the kick off. Michal Lanczak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to GKS Katowice getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Florian Hatman hit a great ball. In the 9thth minute of the game Michal Lanczak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LEGION's Napoleon Penkalski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 10th minute of the match Florian Hatman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Napoleon Penkalski showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ludomir Filipowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Napoleon Penkalski having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ludomir Filipowski in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Napoleon Penkalski saved LEGION from getting behind. After a rather tough play, GKS Katowice's Gian Bossert got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute Michal Lanczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Napoleon Penkalski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, LEGION's Jakub Purzycki got a free kick in the 28th minute. After having played for 30 minutes, Ludomir Filipowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GKS Katowice's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ludomir Filipowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. LEGION's Napoleon Penkalski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludomir Filipowski in the 32nd minute of play. If Ludomir Filipowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Adam Poreda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the match, LEGION's goal looked a bit too open when Michal Lanczak came free, but Napoleon Penkalski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Napoleon Penkalski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michal Lanczak in the 42nd minute of play. Napoleon Penkalski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michal Lanczak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michal Lanczak was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Damian Soroka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th match minute, GKS Katowice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dieter Rusterholz to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute, Dieter Rusterholz fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. When GKS Katowice's Ludomir Filipowski in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adam Poreda couldn't finish the play. 68 minutes into the match, Michal Lanczak notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of LEGION's Napoleon Penkalski. Napoleon Penkalski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Michal Lanczak managed to get in a good position for a shot. GKS Katowice's supporters rose to their feet, but Michal Lanczak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Napoleon Penkalski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 74 played minutes LEGION got a freekick which was hit by Marek Smolak. Ludomir Filipowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 78 minutes into the match, GKS Katowice's Michal Lanczak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Napoleon Penkalski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Damian Soroka came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the LEGION fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Soroka couldn't finish the play. Napoleon Penkalski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludomir Filipowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Ludomir Filipowski kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Napoleon Penkalski was a little too slow when Ludomir Filipowski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 0-3. When the match had gone on for 98 minutes, Michal Lanczak put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Napoleon Penkalski.
