The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomasz Mielak to strike the kick off in the second half. Olgierd Zieba took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafal Penc. Rafal Penc dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 55th match minute, Bódgaj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Izydor Zdanowicz to maneuver through the defense. KKS Lech Poznań's Hugon Ziemba got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafal Penc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Izydor Zdanowicz in the 78th minute of play. After a rather tough play, KKS Lech Poznań's Mariusz Majerowicz got a free kick in the 80th minute. If Olgierd Zieba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rafal Penc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olgierd Zieba in the 83rd minute of play. Rafal Penc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olgierd Zieba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Izydor Zdanowicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bódgaj's supporters rose to their feet, but Izydor Zdanowicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafal Penc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olgierd Zieba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafal Penc having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Olgierd Zieba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafal Penc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. KKS Lech Poznań's Rafal Penc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Izydor Zdanowicz in the 98th minute of play. KKS Lech Poznań's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
