The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Górnik Zabrze's Napoleon Olszewski got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Górnik Zabrze booed when Niemyje SA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wit Watarz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Miroslaw Dombroski hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Rafal Literski struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Tanek Lewkowicz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Górnik Zabrze. Rafal Literski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafal Literski scored 1-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tanek Lewkowicz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
