Dominik Harbaszewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Beniamin Kensicki went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Hannibals Stalowa Wola's Dominik Harbaszewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remigiusz Czeszejko in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Hannibals Stalowa Wola's Dobromir Kajfasz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dobromir Kajfasz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hannibals Stalowa Wola protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dobromir Kajfasz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hannibals Stalowa Wola! In the 13th minute there was a penalty for Bayer Leverkusen. Dominik Harbaszewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remigiusz Czeszejko in the 74th minute of play. When Gil Aleixo fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hannibals Stalowa Wola's protests and gave Gil Aleixo a yellow card for diving instead.
