Cyryl Gomolka took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Teofil Owsiak. Ponizie SSA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kajetan Czysta scored 1-0 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Krzysztof Kuszczak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kajetan Czysta kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Håkan Fredriksson got free with Krzysztof Kuszczak in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Krzysztof Kuszczak was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Boguslaw Japola showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. After 21 played minutes KS Widzew Łódź got a freekick which was hit by Wieslaw Piszczor. If Zula Skirzynski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teofil Owsiak came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by KS Widzew Łódź's Zula Skirzynski. But to his dismay, Zula Skirzynski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 38 minutes into the match, Boleslaw Rydzewski notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of KS Widzew Łódź's Krzysztof Kuszczak. Krzysztof Kuszczak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 41st minute, Ponizie SSA's Boguslaw Japola dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. 45 minutes into the match, Ponizie SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Casimiro Illart came free, but Teofil Owsiak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-2.

Krzysztof Kuszczak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Magne Billberg's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Krzysztof Kuszczak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magne Billberg in the 59th minute of play. KS Widzew Łódź's Krzysztof Kuszczak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Håkan Fredriksson in the 61st minute of play. Krzysztof Kuszczak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magne Billberg in the 69th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Magne Billberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Krzysztof Kuszczak was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Boguslaw Japola scored 6-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Krzysztof Kuszczak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ponizie SSA's Teofil Owsiak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Ponizie SSA from getting a goal against them. The corner ended in Zula Skirzynski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ponizie SSA's Teofil Owsiak did a great save. Håkan Fredriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, KS Widzew Łódź's goal looked a bit too open when Magne Billberg came free, but Krzysztof Kuszczak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teofil Owsiak showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Håkan Fredriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ponizie SSA's supporters rose to their feet, but Håkan Fredriksson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Krzysztof Kuszczak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute Håkan Fredriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krzysztof Kuszczak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boguslaw Japola in the 93rd minute of play forced KS Widzew Łódź's goalkeeper Krzysztof Kuszczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ponizie SSA's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
