Eugeniusz Sawicki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grotniki. Aleksander Merski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eugeniusz Sawicki having to make a save. Damian Trojanowski kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Grotniki's goalkeeper Jerzy Pochorylo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Milosz Miazga to strike the kick off in the second half. Janusz Sroki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugeniusz Sawicki having to interfere. The supporters of Grotniki booed when Kolonia SSA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Mios didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aleksander Merski got free with Eugeniusz Sawicki in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eugeniusz Sawicki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aleksander Merski, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After 65 played minutes Grotniki got a freekick which was hit by Damian Trojanowski. In the 71st play minute Aleksander Merski came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eugeniusz Sawicki. 1-1. Grotniki's Jerzy Pochorylo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milosz Miazga in the 77th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 80 minutes into the game, when Miromir Dubiel put in a rough tackle. In the 82nd minute, Robert Szostak sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Grotniki's Jerzy Pochorylo didn't even have to move. Eugeniusz Sawicki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Janusz Sroki in the 96th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
