Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sobota's Napoleon Brack started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Waldemar Rzegotka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Karol Jazowski made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Waldemar Rzegotka got free with Karol Jazowski in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trawniki's Roman Wawro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tobiasz Zagrodny in the 10 minute of the game. In the 12th match minute, Sobota was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Beninda to maneuver through the defense. Eugeniusz Przewozik took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karol Jazowski. Karol Jazowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When Roman Wawro fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trawniki's protests and gave Roman Wawro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Trawniki getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Roman Wawro hit a great ball. The supporters of Trawniki booed when Sobota was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobiasz Mleczewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sobota's Karol Jazowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Sobota from getting a goal against them. Ignacy Skrzypiec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 31 minutes into the game, Nick Galloway cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Cezary Kissel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sobota's goalkeeper Karol Jazowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Waldemar Rzegotka came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Karol Jazowski could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Sobota's zone, Eugeniusz Przewozik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karol Jazowski came out of the goal and Eugeniusz Przewozik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes into the match, Trawniki's goal looked a bit too open when Napoleon Brack came free, but Cezary Kissel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Waldemar Rzegotka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 played minutes Sobota got a freekick which was hit by Bernard Jarocewicz. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Waldemar Rzegotka made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waldemar Rzegotka in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karol Jazowski saved Sobota from getting behind. Trawniki's Cezary Kissel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Trawniki from getting a goal against them. If Napoleon Brack had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trawniki made a substitution. Hugon Soroka replaced Eugeniusz Przewozik. Radomir Juroszek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Waldemar Kicia hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Bernard Jarocewicz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Trawniki's Tadeusz Gregorczyk was substituted for Waldemar Rzegotka. After 74th play minutes Tadeusz Gregorczyk shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Karol Jazowski and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 81stth minute of the game Tadeusz Gregorczyk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sobota's Karol Jazowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 82 played minutes Sobota got a freekick which was hit by Napoleon Brack. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonard Beninda during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Leonard Beninda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute, Tadeusz Gregorczyk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tadeusz Gregorczyk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeusz Gregorczyk in the 94th minute of play forced Sobota's goalkeeper Karol Jazowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nick Galloway had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. There was no doubt that Trawniki were the better team. Trawniki's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
